Vaccinators have to do the IMAC vaccinator update every two years to stay authorised. It costs $250, and we know some people have been putting it off. The Workforce Hub is paying the full cost for 150 vaccinators in general practice in the northern region.

The foundation vaccinator course is already free through IMAC, so this covers the update.

Applications are open now. Email kiaora@workforcehub.co.nz with:

• your practice name

• the vaccinator's name and email address

• when their authorisation runs out

We'll send the vaccinator their own code so they can register for free. After registering, they have three months to finish the course.

Priority goes to:

• Practices in areas where immunisation rates are lowest

• Rural and VLCA practices
